Tammy Wolfe and Tamara London are both relatively new to the business of photography, but in a short time they have managed to build successful studios without going into debt. The first part of their talk shares their secrets to low-cost marketing through community involvement. They will discuss several alternatives to traditional advertising. Among the topics discussed will be community displays, charity work, and networking.
Creating a buzz, however, is only the first step toward success. In the second part of their talk, Tammy and Tamar discuss how to keep the client’s experience memorable, and your studio unforgettable. Among other things, they discuss the importance of branding, client contact, referral programs, and most importantly – a final product with impact.
Tammy is a CPP from the Altoona, PA area. She is currently serving on the board of her state association and Triangle Photographer's Association. Tammy has won numerous awards for her images including the Kodak Gallery Award. Tammy's work has an edgy style that makes her sought after as a wedding photographer. She is one of the rare photographers who actually LOVES photographing weddings!
Tamar London is a photographer in the State College, PA area. Photography is her second career. After completing her Ph.D. in political science and being hired by Penn State, Tamar rewarded herself with a local photography course. For the past three years she has been growing her business while continuing to teach at Penn State. This past Spring Tamar decided her studio was successful enough to resign from the university in order to pursue photography as a full-time career. Tamar’s photographs have been featured in local magazines, including the covers of “State College Bride” magazine for the past two years.
Tammy and Tamar’s style is very energetic and they love audience involvement, so come prepared to share what has worked for you, and leave with some fresh new ideas!
